Handwoven Scarves & Shawls

Kim takes great pride in producing her range of unique handwoven fabrics. No two scarves or shawls are the same. Whether it be yarns, colour or design, each scarf is different. It is paramount that you have something exclusive; something only for you. Kim prefers to work with extremely fine yarns made from fibres from nature, such as silk, wool, cashmere, cotton, linen, tencel and rayon. Handweaving is an ancient art, and a very lengthy process. In fact, more hours are spent preparing the yarn and the loom before the actual weaving gets underway! It’s a very creative process and slight imperfections are part of this process, and indeed, add to the uniqueness of the piece. Scarves will arrive to you boxed with tissue stamped with Kim’s logo. Click on the weaving process link below to gain an insight into just what is involved for Kim to turn yarn into scarf. The Weaving Process I’m often asked how long it takes to weave a scarf. Well, this amusing little video will give you a pretty good idea about just that! Click on the below link. How long it takes to weave a scarf
