“Rococo”, a type of design defined by “lightness, elegance, and exuberant use of curving natural forms in ornamentation”.

I love this pattern of smooth, curvy shapes.

The design of this pattern gives extra interest, and colour intensity, by the eye seeing a ‘positive’ version of the design on one side, and the reverse ‘negative’ version on the other;  so when wearing this handwoven silk scarf, you can emphasise one side or the other, or both at the same time.

How much does this rich red contrast with the olive silk thread to create an elegant, and ornate, yet subtly beautiful scarf?!

The light plays on the opposite colours to create natural shadows and harmony.
