Alchemists believed in transformation. The symbols embroidered on the inner of the bag are Alchemical symbols which denote elements & compounds. Alchemy was focussed on achieving transformation in matter, particularly to convert base metals into noble metals like gold, and to discover a cure for diseases & a universal elixir for immortality, or the Philosopher’s Stone.

Satin pull cords with miniature apothecary jars with corks that are actually removable!
