“Moon and Stars” Handwoven Scarf

I absolutely love rusty stuff!  If you’ve seen my artwork, you would know how much I try to collect & transform rusty stuff to art, or incorporate it into my art pieces.

 

In order to comfortably wear my beloved “rusted stuff”, I decided to use rusted metal & wire shapes to dye my seriously soft handwoven scarves.

With the use  of hand shaped rusted wire, and iron shavings & organic chemicals like vinegar and salt, I have been able to transfer designs onto neutral fabrics.

Also, will not wash out………
