“Tidal”

Description

I’m constantly inspired by the seaside environment where I live and work.  The sea throws up all sorts of flotsam, which I like to call ‘treasure’.  The tides carry it in….. sometimes out again…. and perhaps back in;  a little more sea weathered than before.

The hand-knitted wire with blue seed beads and rusted strips are sandwiched between two sheets of perspex to form the base of the rest of the piece.  Gold painted steel rack supports found woven wire mat, and a very small piece of handwoven wool.

Dimensions:  45cm (Approx. 17.7″) long x 30cm (11.8″) wide
